About Carl and Lori Churchill and Alpha Coffee.
On September 11, 2010, Alpha Coffee was co-founded by LTC(R) Carl Churchill, a combat veteran with 21 years of service as both an enlisted soldier and officer, and Lori Churchill, a military spouse and coffee lover.
Alpha started out as Lock-N-Load Java when Carl and Lori (along with their two children) packed coffee in their basement and sold exclusively over the web. In 2016, Lock-N-Load Java was rebranded to Alpha Coffee, selling both online and via other retailers. In 2017, we opened our first coffee shop, staying close to home, with the first location at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon in Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
Today, we have two location in the Salt Lake City area and sell to customers in all 50 states along with many military customers on deployments and stationed overseas.
From the start, Carl and Lori wanted to create a different kind of company guided by the principles they lived by. That is the origin of our Alpha Coffee Mission Statement:
Awesome Coffee
Be a Warrior
Have Fun
Give Back
